    Looses screws on handle

    I bought this for my mom. She’s happy with the length and ease with which she can put on her shoes. The only problem was that the two screws on the back of the shoehorn were loose. When I tried to tighten them, it seemed as though the holes were too large for the screws. We used duck tape to secure the metal “horn” part to the wooden handle and all is fine, but the quality control could’ve been better on the piece. I would’ve given this a five star review except for this issue.

    Poor product

    Instead of being a soft foot-fitting curve the metal is folded along it's length. It's hard to see in the product photograph, so you don't know it until it arrives. The other thing they don't show is the two screws holding the blade to the handle. If you have high ankle boots the screws catch on the lining.

    Perfect size

    My husband bought one of these shoe horns and recently one of our dogs chewed the wood handle. Splinters were a real possibility, so I ordered two more. These I'll keep in hooks in my closet near my shoes, away from teeth.

    They're the perfect length to make putting on my shoes easy - not too long, not too short. (I have a short one from the shoe store, too, but it's only for traveling - if I lose it, no big deal. I'd never risk leaving one of these in a hotel room.)
