The Inch-Master Waistband Stretcher by FootFitter is an easy to use stretcher ready to add up to 3" to tight, uncomfortable waistbands. Our unique clamp design allows you to customize your fit without causing permanent damage to the button area- unlike most other waistband stretchers. This stretching tool can be used on pants, shorts, skirts and jeans to create the perfect fit.
Threadless expansion rods accommodate garments with pre-stretched waist sizes between 21"-50", making it perfect for use on clothes for men, women, and children. Simply start with a damp waistband, insert Inch-Master and let garment dry.

I needed to stretch one pair of vintage jeans I just got. It was just a hair tight and needed maybe half an inch more. I figured if this did not work I would return it and sell the jeans online. I was nervous about this becasue of the plastic but I was drawn to the clamps that protect the buttons and the fact that I have had luck with things made in Germany.
The directions were simple, the construction is solid, and the darn things works well. Will I have need of it again? I do not know. I am gonna hang on to it for a year and if I do not use it again I can sell it.
Definitely stretches waistbands. But, in my case, with a waist close to 36 1/2” (the 35-38 range in your pamphlet), adding 1 extension is justu enough to stretch my pants at the limit of the stem. But adding 2 extensions is way too much to fit in the pants, by several inches, contrary to the chart in the pamphlet. What is needed are at least one or two 1/2 or so extensions for greater fine tuning. If you do come out with these, please send me some. Also the handle & stem should have markers so the user can ID each turn. Otherwise, it’s hard to tell a full turn. I may try a magic marker.
